I'm looking to get a new phone and im willing to spend around $200 give or take. Features that are important to me: battery life, txt, camera, personalized mp3 ringtones and i like the smart phone features (gps, messenger, calendar, managing documents, etc but its NOT essential). Im with fido so i would like a gsm unlocked phone. At the moment, im debating between the treo 750, blackberry pearl, and i really like the new sony ericsson s500i slider phone. Do you have any suggestions and know where i can find a good deal on any of these phones?
It really depends what size you're looking for. The pearl is much more sleek than the Treo. As far as Messenger if that's important then you would probably be happier with the Treo. Everything else I would say to go with the Pearl. The thing about the Palm Treo is that most people don't really get the full use out of it. And you will also probably be able to get the Pearl for cheaper.
The Sony Ericsson s500i slider phone has a 2MP camera so that wins as far as camera is concerned. But it sounds like you want more of a "smartphone".
If this is true I would go with the Pearl, if you want something sleek with a better camera I would go with the Sony Ericsson s500i.
